East Beach is where it's at for singles. There are many more beaches on Galveston Island, such as Crystal Beach where you have to take a ferry to get there. Galveston Activities

See the Pyramid; all three of them right in Galveston. Known as Moody Gardens, they are part of a Texas size amusement and entertainment complex. Each pyramid holds unique exhibits. Representing the Asian and the African rainforests is Rainforest Pyramid. Crashing waterfalls, colorful birds, African violets and other exotic lush fauna are part of the rainforest. The ocean depths fill the Aquarium Pyramid. On display and staring are penguins and sharing the premises are thousands of tropical fish. There's a world of science to discover in Discovery Pyramid. An IMAX theater is within it but you will get even a more up close, personal experience in watching a specialty film in the 18 passenger Ridefilm Theater.

If you're into history then you have come to the right place. Take a walk back into the past as you enter Ashton Villa listed in National Register of Historic Places. This mansion was built in 1859 when Galveston was a leading seaport. The Moody Mansion and Museum is a four-story structure built in 1895. It offers the family heirlooms of philanthropic Galveston Moody family. Galveston also offers some fine wineries to visit along with many gold courses, parks, gardens and zoos. There is enough to keep you more than busy when you visit Galveston.

Galveston Dining

Dinning is a smorgasbord in itself when you enter Galveston. There are more options to choose from including eating in your vacation rental or dine in some of the fanciest restaurants that you have ever seen. Many restaurants are family oriented too and will welcome you and the kids with open arms. Healthy eating can be found as well as Gulf seafood and good old fashion Texas style BBQ burgers.
