Unless you are an aficionado of the history of country music, you may not automatically think of vacationing in Tennessee. But the state is about more than just music - although there is plenty of that to be found. Tennessee cabin rentals can give you both the pleasure of experiencing the beauty of nature firsthand and also the luxury of being close to some very popular (and therefore very well-equipped) vacation destination towns at the same time.

Tennessee is home to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, which is an excellent location for a mountain getaway. In addition to the spectacular scenery throughout the area, there are some fun little towns nearby in which you can stock up on whatever you need for your cabin rental in Tennessee - or just re-introduce yourself to society now and then from your cabin retreat! Of course, going into town for a few things at the store may remind you why you wanted to get out of town in the first place.

Two of the more popular towns around which you will find lots of Tennessee cabin rentals are Gatlinburgh and Pigeon Forge. Both are very close to the Smoky Mountains National Park (Gatlinburg is a little closer), and both have attractions that are totally non-nature related, too. Gatlinburg's main street is a veritable boardwalk of options, including a Ripley's Museum, and Pigeon Forge is home to the one and only Dollywood. So whether the kids need a break from all that nature or you need one yourself, there is plenty to do in the area to keep everyone happy.

Of course, the real reason you are looking into cabin rentals in Tennessee is not for the amusement parks or Ripley's museums, but for the seclusion of a cabin. And the good news is that you will be able to have that, too. Plus, with a cabin rental you are likely to save money over a hotel stay - especially if you have a big family and would have books lots of hotel rooms to accommodate everyone, and also if you plan to cook your own meals most of the time. Vacation rentals offer the best value for your money, as well as the best choice for a relaxing trip.
