North Carolina USA Vacation Rentals

When you are considering where to go on vacation, you may not think immediately of North Carolina - but when you hear the words "Outer Banks," you might change your mind. Of course, there is much more to North Carolina than just those famous islands. And because the state is not huge, you can set yourself up with a North Carolina vacation rental and see quite a bit of the area sights, always coming back to one central home base at night.

Choosing from the many North Carolina vacation rentals might be the toughest part of your vacation, but once you pick where you want to be you can start relaxing. You will have the benefit of feeling like you are at home - with your own living room and kitchen at your disposal - but be able to walk out your door and experience something altogether unfamiliar. Staying in a vacation home instead of a hotel gives you maximum flexibility and comfort, two things which are critical to a great vacation.

No matter where you stay in North Carolina you will have the state's many sights within easy reach. The popular Outer Banks have great beaches and water sports, not to mention the historic site of the Wright brothers' first flight. The mountains of western North Carolina are excellent for hiking. Central North Carolina is where you will find most of the people, and several well-known university towns which boast charming downtown areas. Cities like Chapel Hill, Charlotte, Raleigh and Durham are nice places to visit, whether or not school is in session!

With so much variety, having a central vacation rental in North Carolina from which you can take day trips and explore the state more fully is really a nice way to plan your holiday. That way, you can have your cake and eat it too (so to speak), without having to worry about packing and unpacking every time you want to visit a new city.
