Jersey City Vacation Rentals
With Manhattan just across the river, Jersey City may be smaller but is just as full of surprises and delights. Jersey City holds gorgeous views of the New York City Skyline, the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. You can have that view morning, noon and night right from one of the many vacation rentals near the Hudson River waterfront in 1, 2 or more bedrooms. There are high-rises and garden style apartments available with the sights and sounds of Manhattan only a ferry or tube ride away.
Jersey City Activities
Families visiting Jersey City can spend a day in the sun at beautifully landscaped Liberty State Park. You can spend the day biking, flying kites, picnicking, fishing, crabbing, or walking along the Hudson River Walkway. From Liberty State Park you can hop on a ferry and quickly arrive at the State of Liberty or Ellis Island.
The Liberty Science Museum is a tram ride away and is a first class museum with hands on exhibits and an IMAX theater. For those who enjoy art will be in their glory at the Jersey City Museum or the 58 Gallery. The objective of the 58 Gallery is to provide a showcase to those talented "artists who may have fallen through the cracks." The Barrow Mansion will appease architectural buffs looking for the delight of days gone by.
Jersey City Dining
No matter what kind of cuisine you desire, Jersey City won't disappoint you. With one of the most ethnically diverse populations in the nation, Jersey City offers a true around-the-world dining experience. No matter what nation's cuisine you crave, you will find it right here in Jersey City. Some of the best restaurants can be found along the waterfront of Jersey City. Of course with the numerous gourmet food markets, you can dine in at your vacation rental and watch the sun illuminate on the Big Apple.

Jersey City offers two major malls, the Newport Centre Mall and the Hudson Mall, where you can shop till you drop as all merchandise has of sales tax of a mere 3.5%. That is why so many New Yorkers hop on the other side of the river to New Jersey and do their shopping. Contemporary boutiques and specialty stores line up at Journal Square (the main transpiration hub). During June through December, on Mondays and Thursdays, the Farmers Market takes place in the downtown historic district, which will add to your shopping fun.
