Mazatlan Activities
Mazatlan is a city that delights all and the best way to discover it is to remove your self from the beach and visit the old part of Mazatlan, known as El Centro Historico. This area supports much history, from the Spanish Colonial architecture to the narrow streets filled with enjoyable surprises, such as the Immaculate Conception Basilica (The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception). The Archaeological Museum of Mazatlan will appease culture lovers with the history of the area and of Mexico. The Angela Peralta Theater is the city's prime cultural venue and has been home to many plays, shows and opera productions.
Bull fighting season is held from mid-December through Easter at the Plaza Monumental every Sunday. Or if you enjoy baseball, see Mazatlan’s own team, "Los Venados" pitch a no hitter at the stadium. Other sport enthusiasts can enjoy playing on world class golf courses in the Golden Zone.
