Virgin Gorda Vacation Rentals
Virgin Gorda was a name given by Christopher Columbus to this island in the British Virgin Islands. The island remained relatively unknown until the Rockefeller family made it into a resort island in the 1960s. Since that time those in the know built villas in this paradise, where you can experience life in a fabulous vacation rental villa retreat. You and your family need to just pick one that is situated either beach front, or nestled on the hillsides. Within this cluster of Caribbean, Virgin Gorda is ideal place to place your feet up and relax.
Virgin Gorda Beaches
The southern portion of the island is flat and is covered with large boulders and within this area sits the infamous Baths. Not only is it home to the island's best beaches but the main attraction is the series of tranquil pools that are formed by the giant boulders. The grottoes are filled with seawater and offer exceptional snorkeling opportunities. Spring Bay deserves another best beach award on Virgin Gorda and it is adjacent to the Baths. The other beaches on the island are Trunk Bay, which is only accessible by boat or along a trail from Spring Bay.
