These vacation homes are more likely to have a personal touch to them, because there is a real person behind them.

If you are new to the location where you will be staying, having a connection to the owner of the vacation home is also a great way to get tips on what to do and see during your vacation. They are much more likely to know the area and be able to point you in the direction of their favorite restaurants and sights.
